| Pro-C3

Fibrosis leads to the release of specific extracellular matrix protein fragments into the bloodstream. Notably, the precisely cleaved type III collagen propeptide (Pro-C3) can differentiate between mild and moderate disease stages. Pro-C3 shows promise as a potential blood biomarker that could be incorporated into future research for monitoring disease progression and ultimately evaluating potential anti-fibrotic therapies.
